Hotel Description

Arranged around two swimming pools nestled in sub-tropical gardens, the Hotel Vulcano is 300 meters from the beach in southern Tenerife's most popular tourist destination, Playa de las Américas. Featuring modern, cream décor with dark wood furniture and warm fabrics, the 371 air-conditioned guestrooms all have furnished balconies, many of which overlook the gardens and swimming pools. All rooms have direct-dial phones, cable television, minibars and complementary newspapers. Guests are presented with a welcome gift on arrival.
Guests have a choice of two outdoor swimming pools, each overlooked by sun terraces complete with loungers and parasols. Cool drinks and cocktails are available from a choice of three bars, including one by the pools in the hotel gardens. Children are catered for with their own section of both pools, a kids club and a video games room and guests of all ages can join in the games, quizzes, competitions and sports organized by the hotel's entertainment team. Evening entertainment comes in the form of live music, discos and shows by professional artists and dancers. The buffet restaurant features marble-tiled floors and offers local specialties and international dishes as well as hosting weekly themed dinners and show cooking. Light snacks, à la carte lunches and cool drinks and cocktails are on offer on at the poolside bar and restaurant. Onsite sports facilities include squash courts, mini golf, French bowls and table tennis and guests can book a tennis court at the Vulcano's sister hotel, the Bitacora, which is just across the street. A range of water sports are on offer on Playa de las Américas beach, 300 meters from the hotel and further aquatic entertainment can be found at the Agua Park, two kilometers from the hotel. Golfers will find an 18-hole course one kilometer away. South Tenerife Reina Sofia Airport (TFS) is 17 kilometers from the hotel. Taxis are available in front of Arrivals. Buses also leave regularly from the airport and bus 487 runs to Los Cristianos and Playa de Las Américas, near the hotel.

From the airport take the TF1 motorway in the direction of Playa de las Américas, then take the Los Cristianos exit. Turn right and go straight to Playa de las Américas until the end of the avenue, then turn left in the direction of El Camisón. Go straight ahead through two roundabouts and Hotel Vulcano is the first hotel on the left.
